English term or phrase:Official Birth Record
I'm translating a Birth Certificate from Illionois. There are some wordings I am not quite sure about.
- is "official birth record" -> "offizielles Geburtenregister"?
Explanation: Do they mention an Original and an Official record maybe? In this case the official record is a record with information after an adoption (Beurkundung im Geburtenregister), if not I would just leave it as Geburtenregister, because in this case ´official´ means only that it is approved by the authority.
