English term or phrase: chemicals: CHC, TPH, BTEX, PAH, BOX, PCB, TCB, TCA
I'm particularly interested in the German abbreviations (if existing and common):
CHC
TPH = tetra phosphoric ?? hydrocarbons ?
BTEX
PAH = polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons = PCA ?
BOX
PCB
TCB
TCA

Explanation:
Some names are ambivalent, but here goes:

CHC - cyclohexanecarboxylic acid = Cyclohexancarboxylsaeure or chlorinated hydrocarbons = Chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe (CK);

TPH - triphenylhexane = Triphenylhexan;

BTEX (usually BTX) - benzene-toluene-xylene = Benzol-Toluen-Xylen-Aromate;

PAH - polycyclic/polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons = polyzyklische/polynukleare aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe (PAK);

BOX - biological oxidation = biologische Oxidation (used in bioremediation);

PCB - polychlorinated biphenyls = polychlorierte Biphenyle;

TCB - tri/tetrachlorobenzene = Tri/Tetratchlorbenzol or trichlorinated biphenyls = Trichlorierte Biphenyle;

TCA - trichlorinated aliphatics = trichlorierte Aliphate or trichloracetic acid = Trichlorethansaeure;

A good place to check are sites that have a searchable MSDS database, see http://www.operationsafesite.org/newpage11.htm

chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe (CHC), polychlorierte Biphenyle (PBP)

Explanation:
I don't think the other abbreviations are common. Are there any explanations, measured data like spectra etc. in the context?
If so, you can send them to me (Nina.Berger@berger-privat.de), I could be able to provide you with more information.

Explanation:
I cannot help you with all of them:
PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) = PAK (polyzyklischer aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoff or mehrkerniger Aromat)
BTX (benzene-toluene-xylenes) = BTX-Aromaten
PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) = PCB (Polychlorbiphenyl)
TCB (trichlorbenzene) = Trichlorbenzol
1. TCA (trichloroacetic acid) = TCA (Trichloressigsäure or Trichlorethansäure)
2. TCA (tricarboxylic acid) = Tricarbonsäure
