neutral  John Kinory: Maybe ... somehow it doesn't sound quite right, however logical (I mean, pull=retrieve). There's also a disagreement between I/we.

  -> Well John, this is an americanism. Like "pulling rank" or "pull his file". It is quite coimmon in the States and the context makes me believe the writer is American.
