Bus/Financial - Economics
English term or phrase: prospect bank
We enter 2006 with a prospect bank in excess of $3.5 billion.

Was genau könnte damit gemeint sein?

German translation:it sounds to me....
Explanation:
like they have accumulated what I would call a 'war chest' if this were a political campaign. They might be going on a shopping spree (for companies) in the new year and they have this amount secured for paying for this spree.

To put it in more explanatory (to ME, at least) Amerenglish,

We enter 2006 with a prospecting bankroll in excess of $3.5 billion.

Maybe Entwicklungsfinanzen???

Not an econ guy, but my thoughts from the USA.

It might have that amount in the bank or in stock that it can liquidate quickly or use as part of an offer to buy a company, imo.
