Masterarbeit


Explanation:
Am Ende eines Diplomstudiengangs (erster akademischer Grad) schreibt man eine Diplomarbeit.
Absolviert man im Anschluss einen MA (Master of Arts) oder MBA (Master of Business Administration) schreibt man eine Master Thesis, das ist auf Deutsch die Masterarbeit im Gegensatz zur Diplomarbeit.
Ich habe selbst beides in Deutschland gemacht.

Explanation:
Master-Studiengang refers to the studies. Master-Abschluss is the degree. Master-Abhandlung is the Master´s dissertation, while you may also use Master-Abschlussarbeit. I would though prefer M-Abhandlung as it indicates the investigative character of the Master thesis.
