distant occlusion, rear occlusion

English to German translations [PRO]
Games / Video Games / Gaming / Casino / Game description
English term or phrase: distant occlusion, rear occlusion
Kontext: "This has allowed us to do a lot of clever stuff with filtering and effects. We’ve got effects on everything. Distant occlusion, rear occlusion. Sounds become crisper as they come past you. Environmental reverbs so you will hear scenery whooshing by."

I cannot find any reference to this. I think it is some kind of camera effect, but am unsure of the German equivalent.

Any help is much appreciated.

Okklusion

Explanation:
Occlusion describes an effect of partial covering. It can be used in the visual sense, or it can be used with audio to describe a partly muffled sound.

In your text, I would think the audio-effect is the case. Fern- und Hinten-

Of course, if you would like a more generally understood German term, you could also use 'Verdeckung'.

Example sentence(s):
  • .... berechnenden Audiokanäle und Komplexität der Effekte (Hall, Dämpfung, Okklusion(Verdeckung))

Kameraverschluss

Explanation:
I think that the word occlusion in this context could be translated Kameraverschluss. Occlusion means Verschluss and has something to do with the shutter.

Example sentence(s):
  • Der Kameraverschluss wurde zweimal bei lichtdicht abgedecktem Objektiv ausgelöst.

disagree  Leif Henriksen: Is this context is seems to be audio-related, not a visual occlusion. The text is about a sound system, not a camera.
