Concerning the east European countries, Russia possesses a healthy financial system with mortgage penetration of less than 2% and therefore no exposure to sub-prime problems. Furthermore consumer demand is very strong in the region.

The market valuation of companies in the Nordic industrial currently ***implies a substantial decline in earnings***, taking into account the current long bond yields (which we do not see as likely to increase substantially). Such declines do not seem realistic.
