Es geht um ein Unternehmen, das ein Extranet für Dienstleister einer bestimmten Branche bietet.
The redundant connection to the Extranet is completely diverse, using multiple carriers.
Hier brauche ich etwas Hilfe von IT-Experten. In den Proz-Glossaren bin ich schon auf Mehrwegeführung gestoßen, was m. E. für "multiple carriers" ganz treffend ist, richtig? Diverse und redundant ist doch hier eigentlich dasselbe, oder? Könnte man das dann vielleicht wie folgt übersetzen: "Die Anbindung an das Extranet ist dank der Mehrwegeführung voll redundant angelegt." Vielen Dank für die Hilfe.

redundant wird im technischen Englisch auch oefters einfach mit dem dt. "redundant" uebersetzt....siehe: LEO - redundant code; diverse ist "diverse" bzw. mannigfaltige/unterschiedliche. Daher wuerde ich redundant und diverse NICHT als Synonym betrachten.
