aus einem Pressetext einer (chinesischen!) Firma, die Lösungen im Bereich VoIP anbietet. Bitte um Hilfe bzw. Tipps, wobei es sich um "loop trunk" handelt. Vielen herzlichen Dank im Voraus!

Explanation:
oder "Verbindungsleitung".

"Amt" für Telefonvermittlungsstelle ist m.E. etwas veraltet. Ich würde daher einen allgemeineren Terminus bevorzugen.
"Loop" bezeichnet hier die Anschlussleitung auf der Teilnehmerseite, die ja beim Teilnehmer zurückgeschleift wird (siehe Link von Harry, das die "Schleifensignalisierung" beim Teilnehmer beschreibt).
"trunk" bezeichnet die Verbindungsleitung von der Vermittlungsstellenseite her.

Vielleicht hilft's ja...

On an added note: maybe you have better glossaries than I do, but I can't help wondering if the rest of the terminology is at all correct - most refs. to 'trunk AT0' seem to come from the same (chinese you say?) company. I got the impression (but no confirmation) that T0 stands for a digital telephone system, but here the A seems to stand for analog. Maybe it's some exotic (Asian) telephone system? Anyway, most german websites (cowardly) leave most of this description untranslated, as you yourself must have found.
