English term or phrase: stabilize stock gyrations
der ganze Satz hat es ja schon in sich...
Es geht immer noch um Incentive-Management.
Mit einer EIM-Software soll alles besser werden:

The bottom line is addressed by the ability to accurately model compensation, administer it, commit to it in quarterly reports, accrue it quarter to quarter, and *stabilize stock gyrations* when incentive compensation turns out to be a greater cost than already reported.

stabilisieren von heftige Kursbewegungen

If this refers to incentives on a scale that investors could lose faith in the company's predicted profit margin...

Re: Fact is first of all that this is virtually the only meaning that pops up on Google. Further corroboration comes from the rest of the sentence 'when ... turns out to be greater cost than already *reported*'. IMO this refers to previously predicted results/profits towards the financial markets. Experience does show that sometimes only slight (negative) deviations from predicted or expected results lead to disproportionally large market responses. Apparently this mother of all software applications leads to reliably predictable results.

But I'm no expert ;-)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Danke, Harry. Trotzdem bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob das in den Satz passt. Die Kosten für anreizbezogene Vergütung können Kurse zum Schwanken bringen?
