Hier geht es um Software, mit denen ein Unternehmen die Kontrolle über die IT-Infrastruktur übernehmen und die Einhaltung von internen Richtlinien sowie externen Benchmarks der Branche, gesetzlichen Vorschriften, Normen usw. sicherstellen kann.

Normalerweise bedeutet "waive" doch meistens "verzichten", aber das passt hier nicht. Könnte damit einfach "ignorieren" gemeint sein? Ich denke da an einen Fehler/eine Schwachstelle, die die Einhaltung der Richtlinien nicht gefährdet.
