Einwohnermeldeamt, Einwohnermeldbehörde Explanation: Inge, of course you can translate this expression word by word, but the expression used (at least in our area in North Germany) is Einwohnermeldeamt. This is also used by Langenscheidt I have also heard Bürgeramt (in Frankfurt), and there may be othr regional expressions. Why not just us "Rathaus"? Langenscheidt Gro�w�rterbuch |
