English term or phrase:welcome back
this is essentially very easy, yet difficult.
The text is used as prompts for telephone interviews conducted at certain intervals to examine patient´s side effects following treatment with certain drugs. This particular prompt is the start of a follow-up call:
Welcome back. During this call you will be asked about symptoms you may have experienced in the past 24 hours.
The first sentence of the first call was "Hello and welcome", i.e. guten Tag und herzlich willkommen.
@ Francis: ist mir persoenlich auch nicht ganz klar, einmal steht hier seit dem Anruf, ein ander Mal seit Ihrem Anruf. Ich vermute, es handelt sich um einen automatisierten Anruf einer Forschungsfirma, in dem der Patient mit Druecken der Tasten 1 - 3 angibt ob verschiedene Beschwerden vorhanden sind, bzw. sich verbesserten oder verschlechterten.
yes, Derek, you have a good point here - but the dilemma of putting it in nice sounding German is still not solved, or is it? "Hello again" is just as plain and simple as "welcome back", but somehow does not have a match in German. Maybe you or someone else can continue at this end and come up with something catchy?
