Can anyone give me in German the equivalent to this biblical saying.
Many thanks in advance.

Gib, und Dir wird gegeben.
Explanation:
Das ist von Lukas 6, 38: "Gib, und Dir wird gegeben;..." Oder auch manchmal "Gebt, und Euch wird gegeben;..." The King James version reads as follows: "Give, and it shall be given unto you;..."

Cheerio,
Dierk

Thanks to all the answers. I liked the third one too, but
I need the exact biblical one. The first one was right as
well, but it did not give me the source.
Anyhow, many thanks to everyone,
Lis

Gib, so wird dir gegeben.

Explanation:
This is a proper and usual way of saying it in German. An alternative may be "Gib, und es wird dir gegeben."

Geben ist seliger denn nehmen.

Explanation:
This is NOT the true biblical expression, but heads in the same direction. It will often, but not exclusively, be found in ironical contexts.
All the best for Hamburg, :-)
