"heiße" Aktien / vielverkaufte Aktien Explanation: You're not that far off; to be on the move means that something is hot, i.e. a good seller. On that basis, in conjunction with your overall context, you should be able to come up with an appropriate translation. none needed |

Bewegende Aktien / Aktien in Bewegung Explanation: Right, stocks/shares that are moving. See: "Stocks on the Move Mon, 19 Mar 2001, 5:18pm EST - U.S. Market Movers - The following is a list of tickers of companies whose shares are moving in today's U.S. markets." (http://www.bloomberg.com/pfc/investing/pfcmovers1.html) "Stocks on the Move" is a typical stock market term. Stocks on the Move (with a capital M) are stocks that are moving up or down the charts. Whhich means at this moment they don't have a stable position because of certain company actions, which can be not selling enough goods, laying off employers, buying another company. Any company action can cause a 'movement' of the stock. But that's not what you asked, just a little note. So if you like to have it translated into German literally: 'Bewegende Aktien' = 'moving stocks' 'Aktien in Bewegung' = 'stocks that are moving' 'Aktien die bewegen' = 'stocks (that are) on the move' 'Aktien bewegen' = 'stocks move' Good luck :) Internet research and www.bloomberg.com/pfc/investing/pfcmovers2.html |
