English to German translations [PRO] Marketing
English term or phrase:XYZ...the exciting company
This is typical PR jabblish for a corporate video of an electronic parts manufacturer (again!). So there is no real "excitement" about the products. Unfortunately it is even the closing Cue, where the narrator has to give the final "punch"! Not easy!
I have chosen "...das attraktive Unternehmen", but are not fully convinced yet.
Anybody a better idea?
But please refrain from "aufregend", "mitreißend" or other standard translations - I do know those!
You all were a great help! When I do the narration tomorrow, I have something to discuss with the client. Another problem for me is the timing - as much as I like the "am Puls der Zeit", it doesn't work without the "Finger ..." at other points of the video, where they use this catch phrase again. I also like the "Unternehmen in Bewegung", but I think we will finally end with something like "zukunftsweisend" or "zukunftsorientiert".
Unfortunately only one can win.... and the winner is...C.A.
The original was in Japanese and they used the Japlish "exciting company" as is. The US translator did not change the terminology. But the poor Italian and I are sitting there and scratching our heads.
Hope you understand my dilemma: the company is basically a "grey mouse", no flamboyant company like Universal Studios. Nobody really gets exctied about it (except they themselves).
I don't want to answer BS with BS (customer satisfaction = Kundenbefriedigung, he, he, he). It should be somewhat snappy, but not make the viewer laugh. Thanks for the really good input up to now.
