Festplattencache

Explanation:
Much too little context.

"Festplattencache" seems to be a relatively common term for DVD drives with a recording function.

The term "cache of discs" seems to be a translation from a Korean manual.

It may be about a standalone DVD player with a recording function or a DVD optical drive for installation in a PC. (Same technology)

Festplattencache 1.5 MB = 1.5 MB cache or 1.5 MB buffer memory

neutral  Rolf Keller: Eine DVD nennt man niemals "Festplatte", und die Referenz zeigt ein Gerät ohne Festplatte, aber diesem und anderen groben Übersetzungsfehlern.

-> Any better ideas? The only mention of DVD is "DVD Player" not DVD discs. A hard disk is also a Festplatte, and a memory buffer or cache is usually a kind of solid state storage. As the Festplatte here is a memory chip, you wouldn't see it anyway.
