Es geht um eine Operationstechnik zur Implantation einer Knie-Endoprothese.

Bei der Präparation ist ein Haken erwähnt, den ich nicht kenne.

Hier der genaue Satzzusammenhang:

Das ist echt nicht mein Fachgebiet, aber das Bild eines “pickle fork” ist für mich eine größere (Gurken-)Gabel mit zwei Zacken/Zinken. Wundhaken gibt es in spitzer oder stumpfer Ausführung, mit unterschiedlich vielen Zinken.

agree  Cetacea: Das scheint's tatsächlich zu sein. Gemäss http://www.millenniumsurgical.com/main.asp?uri=1106&di=183.h... ist das nämlich ein "double-prong Blount retractor", used for patella and shoulder surgery.
