Anlalog zur Kühlung ohne Verdampfung, heisst es diesmal Kühlung durch Verdampfung/Transpiration. Da es sich um Lebewesen handelt, würde ich den Begriff "Transpiration" bevorzugen.

In der Technik gibt es für "evaporative cooling" auch die Ausdrücke "Evaporationskühlung" oder "Verdampfskühlung". Da dies aber kein technischer Kontext ist, würde ich diese Begriffe nicht wählen.

vielen Dank für "Transpiration", bin ich nicht drauf gekommen (linguistisches Brett vorm Kopf?! :-)) Die Antwort der anderen Teilnehmerin hat mir auch gut gefallen, da dort die Verknüpfung "-basierte" vorkam; allerdings fehlte dort der Ausdruck "Transpiration". Ich glaube, ich werde eine Kombination beider Antworten wählen!
NB: Kann es sein, daß Du in Hildesheim studiert hast? Dein Gesicht kommt mir nicht bekannt vor, aber Deinen Namen kenne ich.
