English to German translations [PRO] Medical
English term or phrase:chair time (dentistry)
"the clinician can treat a greater number of patients in the same chair time"
Is there a good expression for chair time in this context? The meaning is clear to me - the time spent treating a patient while on the dentist's chair, as opposed to time the dentist spends preparing crowns etc.
The context is some advertising blurb, promoting the cost efficiency of certain implants which take less time from insertion to completion than others.
Explanation: "Stuhlzeit" as opposed to "Sprechstunde" or similar expressions is the time the dentist actually works at the dentist's chair and is not concerned with other activities that also belong to his job.
