Schachtelhalm (lat. Equisetum arvense)


Explanation:
Die Wirkung von Schachtelhalm beruht auf den hohen Gehalt an Kieselsäure (von ca. 10%). Sch. wird wegen seiner harntreibenden Wirkung b. Schwellungen verwendet. Der hohe Kieselsäure-Gehalt führt auch dazu, daß die Pflanze ein gutes Scheuermittel ist. Daher auch der Name Zinnkraut.
