Jackson-Position/Jackson-Haltung Explanation: Jackson-Position Nach Chevalier Jackson (1865 bis 1958), amerikanischer Laryngologe Synonym: Jackson-Haltung Als Jackson-Position bezeichnet man eine Lagerungsposition des Kopfes bei der endotrachealen Intubation. Bei der Jackson-Position wird der Kopf in den Nacken gelegt (Reklination) und nach vorne gezogen beziehungsweise auf einem Kissen gelagert (Elevation), während die Schultern flach auf der Unterlage aufliegen. Auf diese Weise soll eine ideale Annäherung der oralen, der pharyngealen und der laryngealen Achse hergestellt werden.
