wenn der Teich austrocknet Explanation: Ich verstehe das tatsächlich als Insekten-Metapher, zumindest soweit der Kontext das hier zulässt. Offenbar vergleicht der Autor die Chemikalien im Körper mit Pestiziden und kommt dann zu diesem etwas schrägen Bild - ich würde in dem Fall das "you" mit "ein Insekt" o. Ä. übersetzen, im Deutschen klingt das sonst schon sehr merkwürdig. ;) Also "Wenn ein Insekt einem Pestizid ausgesetzt wird, das die Metamorphose verhindert, und dann der Teich austrocknet, den es bewohnt, dann stirbt es in unmittelbarer Folge dieser Austrocknung ..." - ich nehme an, der Satz geht noch weiter im Sinne von "... aber es wäre ohnehin am Pestizid gestorben". Just an educated guess, though. ;) Und der Autor scheint kein Muttersprachler zu sein, richtig? Da muss man manchmal einfach etwas freier interpretieren, damit die Übersetzung überhaupt lesbar wird. |
