English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Music / DJ Equipment
English term or phrase: booth amp
Connection diagram of a mixer - I know what the Booth is, it's the place where the DJ does his job, what's the German expression for it?

And this links into my other question - I'm not allowed to put the term here since "efreitag" believes this is not in line with the ProZ regulations - but I really need the two terms explained to me in context.

If this question is going to be removed as well because of this comment, I will complain to a moderator! I was merely thinking practical here, hence I put both terms as I need them in relation to each other, not separately!

Explanation:
If you google "booth amp" and google gives your proz question as the top hit, you can be sure, that the "word" isn't even a real English word. So there is no real translation as well.
Problem is, there is no name in German for the booth, that would make people think in the right direction, so I would call it "DJ-Verstärker", as this is what it is.

neutral  Jalapeno: Just a quick note: Both "DJ-Kanzel" and "DJ-Kabine" are commonly used. / Yes, "Kanzelverstärker" doesn't make much sense, I was commenting on your sentence "there is no name in German for the booth", just trying to be helpful.

  -> Sure, I know, but go ask people, what a "Kanzelverstärker" or a "Kabinenverstärker" are. My comment was about the context!
neutral  Erik Freitag: Possible, but I understand the source terms as "to booth amp" or "to house amp", designating the respective connectors. It doesn't sound to me like the mixer includes both amps, although it isn't impossible.
