English term or phrase: Fountain Menu
HELP!!!

Does anybody know what a 'Fountain Menu' is? I know that in this case it really doesn't have anything to do with water. It's part of a translation for a restaurant.

German translation:Eiskarte

Fountain menu comes from soda fountain which used to be part of US drugstores - a bar, often along a wall, where you could sit on bar stools and have an ice cream soda, banana split and other such See the following URLs (among about 90, search on "fountain menu")

We serve all of our fountain products the old fashioned soda fountain way -- in glassware with real metal spoons using our Super-Premium Ice Cream and the highest quality toppings and ingredients available.

"Eiskarte" would be the closest German equivalent - think of the offerings of an Eiscafé. And it looks like it might fit into your context.

Thanks a bunch! If I'd had to use my translation it would have looked very strange indeed (I won't tell you what it was).

You saved me from looking a fool. ;o)
