Situation Explanation: depends (as always!) a bit on the whole context but I'd go for Situation since Schicksal or Los (fate) is not really something you can meddle with cheers xx |

Los Explanation: Any of the terms you suggest would work, it really depends on the tone and overall context of your text as to which one would be stylistically most appropriate. I'd suggest using "Los" if the style is (as I suspect) a bit flowery. Also, by using "Los", you stay as close to the original tone as possible. After all, the author could have used "situation" if he had wanted to. |
