English term or phrase: editor-at-large
xyz, European editor-at-large of Vogue served as a creative consultant...
Sandra
German translation:Redakteur (Editor-at-large)
Explanation:
An editor is not a Verlagshaus or a Grossverleger, but rather a Redakteur. The phrase "at large" generally means something like "ohne Ressort", "ohne Portefeuille"; however, I could not find any German references on "Redakteur ohne Ressort". There does seem to be some confusion as to what exactly an editor-at-large is/does, so I'd suggest using Redakteur and adding the English title in parentheses.

Hope this helps.
