Mir geht's gut, wie geht's Dir? Explanation: I have to disagree with the previous poster: Ich bin OK means that I'm acceptable. Here, to be well or fine means gutgehen as in to be in good health or spirits. Reference: http://dict.leo.org/?search=wie+geht%27s&lang=en |

Mir geht's gut ..und selbst? (informal) Explanation: alternatives: Mir geht's okay, wie geht's Dir? (very informal) Mir geht es gut, und Dir? (informal) Danke, mir geht es gut. Wie geht es Ihnen? (formal) I agree with Dierk - and wouldn't use "ich bin okay" |

Geht so. Und Dir? - Danke, mir geht's gut. Und Dir? - Danke der Nachfrage. Und Ihnen? Explanation: I'd use the first one if you're feeling alright but not great and for an informal exchange with a friend/relative. The second one is more neutral if you are on "Du" terms with the person. The third one is also an option; it's more formal. |
