Zusatzstudium Explanation: Extra credits in the USA usually means that you take courses in addition to the prescribed curriculum for the selected course of studies, so as to gain extra credits. I German this is more generally refrred to as "Zusatzstudium", i.e. additional studies, without specific reference to credits, points or notes. HTH |

Zusatzpunkte Explanation: My teacher in area studies is from Oregon and gave us "extra credits" in the final test for filling in the correct answers where the given answer was wrong. The german equivalent is "Zusatzpunkte" or "Extrapunkte". |
