Not simple to translate. "Zusätlich, extra" more or less covers it IMHO.

You are right "optional" has recently become a widely used word in Germany, though I am not very fond of it, as it sounds "artificial".

I feel that "der als Sonderzuberhör (Sonderausstattung) erhältliche (lieferbare) Spieltisch" sounds more natural.
