English term or phrase: Printing: "full-bleed"; "self-laminating"
both terms refer to sets of paper + ink ribbon, in the context of dye sublimation printing. I'm not sure whether "self-laminating" means something on the paper, or whether it means there's an extra laminating layer on the ribbon.
Full-bleed might mean that on this paper, it is possible to make prints that look exactly like fotos because ALL colors can be achieved. Is this possible?
Thanx a lot,

German translation:vollständiges Durchschlagen; selbstlaminierend
Explanation:
bleed = u. a. durchschlagen, ausbluten bei Farbe (Wenske chemical dictionary, Kucera technical dictionary)
self laminating würde ich so verstehen, dass die Farbe sublimiert und sich selbst auf laminierende Weise (d. h. eine haftende Schicht bildend) mit dem Papier verbindet.

Hmmm... The client of my client finally gave an explanation, that is, full-bleed means slightly larger than usual formats, (Übergröße), and self-laminating means that with these special paper& ink sets, the print can be laminated automatically in the printer, without having to use an extra laminating machine...
But thanks a lot anyway, I'll remember those dictionaries!
