English to German translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase:lifetime engineering
context: engineering of buildings to optimize their lifetime performance concerning the environment, the users, the cost etc.
Is there an adequate German word for ist, or is "lifetime engineering" used in German?
Explanation: Ernst has "lifetime lubrication" = Lebensdauer-Schmierung.
So "Lebensdauer" exists as a viable term. "Engineering" could be "Konstruktion" but I think "Entwurf" (design) or "Konstruktionsentwurf" (structural design) would be more applicable.
