Schon wieder Denglsich, fürchte ich. Aber leider wird dies durch etliche Google-Hits belegt:

Nachdem die Frames korrigiert wurden, verliert ein Frame mit einem "luma noise"-Wert von 20 mehr Bits als ein Frame mit einem Wert von 15. Ich schlage 10 für den Schwellenwert und 30 für den "gain"-Wert vor

Der ganze Satz muß ja auch ins Lot gebracht werden: "gain amplifier" würde dann schwierig. "gain" und "amplifier" können nicht beide mit "Verstärker" oder "Verstärkung" übersetzt werden. Es müsste schon heißen: "Gain-Verstärker"
