Bypassventil / Bypass-Absperrventil Explanation: bypass can be translated as "Umlauf", but mostly it is just capitalized and left as is, then combined with a hyphen and the other type of valve or just as "Bypassventil". See: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=Bypassvent... A check valve is usually an "Absperrventil" or a "Rücklaufventil", but the "Bypassventil" appears to be almost synonymlous with that. HTH Ernst / Google |

Umgehungsrückschlagventil Explanation: I guess Bypass could stand in German, but if you prefer to translate it I suggest Umgehung, and for the valve Umgehungsrückschlagventil as a check valve is a Rückschlagventil. As for the other terms I suggest: Transmission forward bypass - Vordere Getriebeumgehung Oil cooler bypass - Ölkühler-Umgehung Return Bypass Manifold - Rücklaufumgehungskrümmer Cheerio, Dierk Reference: http://dict.leo.org/?lang=en&deStem=none&searchLoc=0&search=...
