English to German translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
I looked on most of the pages of the DeltaRegis site but could not find the term "tubenut".
Schmidt/Pons – Fachwörterbuch der Kfz-Technik indicates that a "tubular nut driver" = "tubular socket wrench (AE) spanner (BE)" = "tubular nut spinner" = "tubular wrench (AE) spanner (BE)" = "tubular box spanner (BE) is a "Rohr-Sechskant-Steckschlüssel" or a "Rohrsteckschlüssel", a nut driver with handle and tubular shank for driving hexagon nuts and bolts.
A specific type that most of us have seen is the one for spark plug use. The handle is simply a bar that passes through two holes in the tubular shank.

Explanation: The tube nut wrench is typically used to tighten nuts on brake lines or similar tubing in the automotive sector. It is also known as flare nut wrench. The wrench is almost like a closed box wrench (Ringschlüssel), but has an opening just wide enough to slip it ober the hydraulic or brake line. Ratched types are also available.

According to HHW-Werkzeugtechnik, page 50-8, this tool is a Überwurfmutter-Schlüssel.
