3 +3 | Doppelbartschlüssel |
|
Doppelbartschlüssel Explanation: is a double-bit KEY; so presumably a double-bit LOCK is a "Doppelbartschloss". "Leaf lock" would appear to be locking tongues into the three faces other than that into which a normal locking togue would close; since a safe door is usually rather more than just a "leaf"(!!), I am inclined to think that part of the description redundant in the extreme!! By way of explanation, a "single-bit key" is one with the beard, or bit, on one side only of the key-post, while a "double-", or "two-bit" key has a beard on both sides of the post, and they may be different in shape. |
