English to German translations [Non-PRO]
Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase: sender
coolant temperature fuel level sender.

What does sender mean in this case. It's from an index (cars)
Bathseba
German translation:Tauchrohrgeber
Explanation:
Tauchrohrgeber = fuel sender

However, seeing the context, I wonder what is actually being "sent" here - coolant temperature and fuel level together seems a bit confusing.

In any case, a sender is most commonly known as "Sender" or "Geber" German.

Thanks for the effort. I think some of the sentences of this translation are a bit confusing.The words are taken as they are from the text. I'm not yet sure what to use. Hopefully when editing the text I will be inspired better :)
