μικρός διασκελισμός με στήριξη στην πτέρνα
Explanation:
Eleven healthy young female volunteers (age 23-39 years, height 1.50-1.73m, mass 53-81kg)
were studied using a Vicon gait analysis system (Oxford Metrics, Inc.) as they performed two
standing trials followed by nine walks at free speed. During the first three walks they were
instructed to walk normally; during the next three they were asked to walk with a narrow
walking base, and during the final three with a widened walking base. For each stride, the
walking base was calculated as described by Whittle (2000). Lateral pelvic displacement was
measured by a modification of the method described by Dodd et al. (1998a, 1998b). These
authors related the position of a sacral marker to the position of feet, whereas in the present
study, the location of the pelvis was derived from the average coordinates of markers on the
sacrum and the anterior superior iliac spines. Lateral pelvic displacement was measured
relative to a line joining the midpoints between heel markers on successive steps (Fig. 1).
