English to Greek translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: labyrinth
a labyrinth is a maze. I just want to know (before tomorrow) what the word means in Greek so I can put it on a project that is due tomorrow.
Jessica
Greek translation:Λαβύρινθος
Explanation:
It is a Greek word. It has the same meaning in Greek as in English. However, it is not only used to describe a specific construction (maze) but also everything that can have the meaning of a maze (connotation). So, "by the way he talks he puts others in his own mental labyrinth". Or "the modern labyrinth of international politics"... etc. There are other words as well that you can use, such as "αδιέξοδο", "δαίδαλος", etc. depending on the context.. hope I helped.
