There are several Greek words for paintbrush, the most commonly used are "βούρτσα - vourtsa" and " πινέλλο - pinello", however the first word can be used for other brushes too ie for brushes used in cooking, whilst the second can also be used for other brushes ie a brush used in saving.

The word "pinello" has been adopted in the Greek vocabulary form the Italian language.
