« Bonjou, Ki jan ou ye ?

Explanation:
This would be a common, general and classic greeting corresponding to the English "Hello how are you?" sentence you proposed. An even more informal greeting used by long-time friend I have heard is: "Alo, ki ti nouvel ou"?

"Alo, kouman ou ye?"

Explanation:
This would be most polite way to say it. Another translation could be: "Alo, sak pase?" This would, of course, be used in a less formal setting.

Using "Bonjour" is fine, but it may not be appropriate depending on the time of the day the greeting is done.
