Ahogy mzdude is írta: végzetes hiba.
Az angolban is "fatal exception error" a teljes név, amely fordításakor elhegyhatjuk a "kivétel" fordítást, egyébként sincs itt szó semmilyen kivételről, hanem, ahogy valaki írta, zéróval való osztásról, vagy egyéb értelmetlen műveletről. Ill. annyiban "kivétel", hogy ezeket a műveleteket nem lehet matematikailag elvégezni.

A Google-ben erre kb. 5x annyi találat van, mint a másikra.
