English to Irish translations [Non-PRO] Names (personal, company) / translating a name from Enlish to Irish
English term or phrase:Only God Can Judge Me
My name is Daniela. Daniela means "Only God Can Judge Me," so I was looking for an Irish name that has the same meaning of "Only God Can Judge Me."
Explanation: My answer is based upon the following assumptions:
1. Daniela is the feminine version of Daniel;
2. In the Old Testament Daniel is described as a man so wise that only God could judge him
I am not aware of any Irish woman's name that has the meaning you suggest but as the next best solution I offer 'Dónaillín' as a possible answer because it is the feminine equivalent in Irish of 'Dónal' which is the Irish version of Daniel.
Now only God and you and a few thousand others can judge whether or not my answer is acceptable! ;-)
Incidentally it would be pronounced (approximately) as :
DOH - nul - een (emphasis on the first syllable).
