sempre io con i fregi dei palazzi barocchi romani. Il mio problema sta nel fatto che la grisaille dovrebbe essere grigia... non dorata! Se no che grisaille è?
La frase dice che nei cassettoni del soffitto scene in finto rilievo con figure all'antica are painted in golden grisaille ecc. ecc.
Un grazie già da ora a chi mi aiuta a risolvere questo dubbio daltonico.

si usa sia grisaglia che (meno frequentemente) grisaille.
