A fermentable starchy mixture from which alcohol or spirits can be distilled" Siccome questo mash viene usato per ottenere prodotti alcolici di tipo diverso (tra cui il rum, il whiskey e così via), io eviterei di andare troppo nel particolare e lo indicherei semplicemente come "il fermentato".
