English term or phrase: fine dining
the speaker is comparing the fare offered at "street food" restaurants to that offered at "fine dining" restaurants.
Eg: "Even the fine dining restaurants were offering more dishes based on olive oil and less dishes based on butter."
"Fine Dining" is quite a well established "buzz word" in English, but I'm struggling to find an equivalent in Italian that is as common? Thanks in advance ;)

thank you! as i mentioned under 'street food', the ristoranti/locali option makes it even clearer than the English version I think! Funny that any old thing in Australia/English speaking countries is referred to as a restaurant (including McDonalds?!) where the Italian 'ristorante' implies a superior quality - again, all answers were viable and big thanks to all!
