English term or phrase:Passes lost in the fare box
Cosa significa fare box e come si puo' tradurre in italiano?
Explanation: e.g. in a public transit bus into which riders throw the fare (the ticket price in cash) or, in this case, their pass (or tickets/tokens, depending on the system). These boxes are heavily armored so that a) they cannot be broken into and b) the drivers do not have to accept cash (or tickets) which might make them a target for robberies.
This looks like a US context...
