safeguard tax Ipotesi Explanation: Ciao Francesca ti premetto che probabilmente ti creerò ancora più confusione di quella che probabilemente già hai :-) ....ma rileggendo la frase (che ti riporto in fondo) potrebbero attribuirsi due interpretazioni a "safeguard" (escludo, comunque, che tax sia una tassa, può essere imposta o ritenuta ma non tassa, in questo caso). La prima è che il "safeguard" sia riferito alla tutela dei fondi nazionali rispetto a quelli esteri, una sorta di balzello che chi investe in fondi stranieri è costretto a sobbarcarsi. Una forma quindi di misura "protezionistica". La seconda è quella secondo la quale la "salvaguardia" sia riferita alla consegna del certificato di disclosure ed, in questo caso, la ritenuta sarebbe a titolo di garanzia sull'effettiva consegna di tale documento. In Italia esistono le "ritenute a/di/per garanzia" a tutela dell'effettiva prosecuzione di opere (vedi contratti di appalto), che però ho sempre tradotto con "guarantee withholdings". Mi chiedo se non ti convenga lasciare il tutto così com'è visto che si tratta di un'imposta austriaca. A “safeguard tax” (Sicherungsbesteuerung) of 2.5% of the final redemption price of the year will be applied to investors in foreign funds (not domestic funds) who fail to provide the Austrian bank, where the investor holds the units of the foreign fund in a deposit, with their certificate of disclosure to the Austrian tax authorities. This “safeguard tax” is treated as a prepayment of income tax. |
