English term or phrase: defended claim
Ciao a tutti! Non saprei come tradurre "defended claim". La frase intera è:“If the claimant does not accept the amount you have admitted, the case will proceed as a defended claim”. Grazie!
villapiana
Italian translation:causa contenziosa
Explanation:
tempo fa la questione è stata dibattuta anche su Langit e le soluzioni proposte sono state "causa contenziosa" e "contestazione del reclamo/ricorso"

Defended claim
If the other side does not think it owes you the money you claim, or doesn't agree with the amount you have claimed, he or she will normally lodge a defence with the Court. A defence is a document that sets out the reasons why the other side doesn't think it should have to pay the money. If a defence has been lodged with the Court, the Court will then set down some dates for a hearing to decide the matter.
