English term or phrase: Assured Periodic Tenancy
This appears in a document containing guidance notes for tenants. Following are a couple of definitions I found in the Internet for this term:

A tenancy arrangement that continues on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis with no clear termination date fixed. This sometimes occurs when a tenant continues to occupy a dwelling after the end of a lease.

A periodic tenancy is a tenancy agreement that has no end date. All new tenants who sign a tenancy agreement after 1 January 2006 have a periodic tenancy.

How could I translate it? Also, is there a difference between "Assured Tenancy" and "Assured Periodic Tenancy"?
